He is right his family members treat him and his friends very well. He loves Rangoon University and plans to stay as long as he could. According to Rangoon University regulations, students could only retake courses for 3 times. He took all courses with maximum.

When he taking final year classes, Ko Aung Thu was popular among professors because some professors are his freshmen classmates.

When he went to admission office, the registration employee was surprised his thick and heavy student folders with Military Intelligent comments.

He share about Red Bridge Aung Thu story.

When he went to coffee shop, he saw lying article Red Bridge on a junta newspaper. There are a bride with white color near Rangoon University and used to call "white bridge". On 16 March 1988, riot police shoot and drowned 100 student protestors around the bridge area. People named and called Red Bridge to mark the shooting and drowning.

The incident became one of the key triggers of the 1988 mass uprising.

He retold his experiences on the Red Bridge Day and ended with following sentence.

"People know whether the bridge is red or white."

Because of telling his personal experiences and asked the question, the Burmese junta put him for several years. After escaping from jail, he went back to Rangoon University and he graduated Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1994. After graduating, he continues to reform democratic society in Burma and the junta made short arrests several times. Last arrest with 65 years sentences to jail and he is in Putao Jail, now.
